Empowering and inspiring individuals to break free from the chains of mental illness
We are a foundation invested in working with the youth and young adults in the community to end the stigma of mental health. Noah's House was created to help fill the gap in mental and emotional health support.
Thanks to you, families can access affordable mental health support.
We extend our heartfelt gratitude to everyone who has supported us on this journey. Noah's House was established by the family and friends of Noah Butcher-Hagell, who tragically died by suicide in 2017. Throughout our endeavour, we have faced numerous challenges in maintaining operations and have done so without any form of compensation. From its inception, we built this charity from the ground up and have successfully assisted thousands of youth and families in Essex County.
As we move forward, we must inform you that the youth centre will be closed indefinitely. After careful consideration, we have decided to reallocate our resources towards enhancing the counselling aspect of Noah's House. Given the current economic challenges and a significant decrease in support, we can no longer justify maintaining our previous location. The landlord’s requirement for a two-year lease at $3,000 per month plus all other associated costs, coupled with increasing safety concerns at that site, contributed to this difficult decision.
It is important to note that Noah's House does not receive government funding; therefore, it is in the best interest of our mission to direct funds toward counselling services. We remain committed to providing these services without requiring referrals and will continue offering them free of charge to those who qualify.
Please stay tuned for an announcement regarding our temporary counselling location as we strive to serve our community effectively during this transition. Thank you for your understanding and continued support.
